Tasting Notes

Situated in the South West of France in the Gers in the little village of Nogaro, this vintage armagnac is made by the oldest firm in Armagnac, Baron d'Artigues now run by Francoise and Jean-Pierre Dartigalongue. There is an impressive museum on the site, well worth a visit.

Armagnac is mostly made with a grape called Ugni Blanc, and is distilled only once and aged in a different wood, therefore more rustic and fuller than Cognac. This particular vintage is from 1989.
