Hautes Côtes de Beaune: Domaine Coste-Caumartin 2018
Tasting Notes
This terroir, located on the plateau above Pommard, gives an aerial side to the wine thanks to its minerality. On the palate, the tannins are soft with a fruity finish. The Hautes Côtes de Beaune wines are fond and charming by their spontaneity and openness.

Domaine Coste-Caumartin
Seeped in wine-making history dating as far back as the Dukes of Burgundy in 1000 to 1400, this Domaine is a herald to its region Pommard, Burgundy. The 17th Century Domaine is built around a Well built in 1641, and provides the Domaine with its emblem and logo. The Estate’s wine-making finesse has been celebrated since the Coste-Caumartin family ownership in 1793, with medals being won throughout history including a Gold medal at the Universal Exhibition in Paris in 1900.
The Estate remained in the family, passing down through the hands of the women of the family: the Coste, Debrois, Chenot, then the Sordet families succeeded each other until this day. The Domaine is now under the direction of Jérôme and Benoît Sordet. Under Jérôme and Benoît Sordet’s able direction, the Domaine continues to thrive with the implementation of new innovative wine-making practices balancing traditional Burgundian techniques, with modern practices.
