Eau de Vie is a colourless, clear fruit brandy, Eau de Vie is produced by maceration or fermentation of the fruit in grape brandy, followed by distillation. Producers of this intend to bring you the fullest natural flavour of the fruit without any additional factors to change it. Eau de Vie translates roughly as 'Water of Life', and is typically served as a digestif. The traditional flavours of eau de vie are commonly orchard fruits, such as blackberries, cherries, apples, plums and pears. The volume is normally between 35% and 50%.
