Tannat
Tannat is a red grape variety, which is used as Uruguay's 'National Grape' and is also used across South-West France, named after its high tannin levels.
This deep coloured wine produces well structured wines, with notes of coffee, spices, cocoa, and vanilla, with good acidity levels. Tannat wines normally pair best with beef, pork and lamb, with relative amounts of spice.
