A speciality of the Marcillac appellation of the South West of France, Fer, otherwise known as Fer Servadou or Mansois, produces rustic red wines with a medium body.
This grape is known for being low in alcohol, firm tannins, and having cassis aromas. Fer best pairs with foods that are spicy or hold a charcoal like flavour, such as barbecued meats.
