Grenache Blanc
Grenache Blanc is a white grape variety, which is related to the Grenache grape (Grenache Noir), and most commonly found in the Rhone region. The dominant flavours include, plumb, pear and honeysuckle. These wines normally hold a firm body with high alcohol and lower sweetness.
The flavours vary from green fruits to other flavours, depending on if they are aged in oak. The best food pairings for Grenache Blanc are; white meats, such as chicken satay or garlic chicken, cheeses, such as creamy cheeses or brie, and vegetables, such as courgettes or potatoes.
