Saturday 14th November 2026 · 19:00–21:00 · Pierre Hourlier Wines, Melbourne Hall Visitor Centre, Melbourne DE73 8EN
An evening in Burgundy with the Hourlier family. We taste six wines from north to south — Chablis, the Côte de Nuits and the Côte de Beaune — and talk about the villages, the growers and why these wines taste the way they do.
Small group, seated, with bread and cheese alongside. No prior knowledge needed; plenty of time for questions.
Pouring
Chablis 1er Cru
Bourgogne Blanc
Marsannay
Gevrey-Chambertin
Volnay
Pommard
We start promptly, so please arrive ten minutes early and we'll have a glass ready. The tasting runs for around two hours: six wines poured in order, each introduced by Pierre or a member of the Hourlier team, with time to taste, compare and ask anything you like. Bread, cheese and charcuterie are on the table throughout.
Everything we pour can be bought on the night to take home, or delivered to your door.
