New Southern Summer Arrivals
We've brought some new additions to our range for Summer 2025, expanding our offering in both the Rhone Valley and Languedoc-Roussillon:
New: Terre des 2 Sources
Terre des 2 Sources came about from the collaboration of two couples who each had a similar dream: to find the right land and environment to craft exceptional wines. It didn't take too long for them to locate a gem just south of the Cévennes mountains, Domaine de la Devèze.
With a variety of soils, slopes and aspects residing in a climate moderated by higher elevation and proximity to the mountains, the vineyards can produce wines of complexity and elegance.
Saint-Guilhem-Le-Desert: Terre des 2 Sources Amourettes Red Easy to drink with an intensely fruity nose showing lots of ripe summer berries, hints of green leafiness and toasty wood. The palate is all about fresh berries, smooth soft tannins and lingering memories of a long hot summer. |
|
Terrasses du Larzac: Terre des 2 Sources Accords Red Generous, ripe and rich summer fruit with hints of spice and herbs dominate the aromas. The palate is elegant, but full flavoured, with supple tannins and a complex lingering finish. |
|
Saint-Guilhem-Le-Desert: Terre des 2 Sources Amourettes White The nose is intensely vibrant with aromas of passionfruit, yuzu, guava and grapefruit and notes of white pepper. The palate is filled with flavours of tropical fruit which lingers well after finishing. |
|
Saint-Guilhem-Le-Desert: Terre des 2 Sources Caprices Viognier Ripe aromas of stone fruit and some tropical notes to the nose. Zesty fresh acidity, resulting in a long palate with flavours of lime, mandarin and white flowers. The flavours linger in your mouth long after swallowing ensuring this is a wine that is ideal for pairing with food. |
|
Saint-Guilhem-Le-Desert: Terre des 2 Sources Amourettes Rose Fragrant aromas of strawberries with a touch of grapefruit and lemon zest, with a long mouth watering palate. The wine taste of summer with fruitiness and clean acidity, matching perfectly with finger food or to be enjoyed on its own. |
New:
Domaine Croze Granier
Domaine Croze Granier is a family estate located in the Gard region and which has been producing Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Lirac and Cotes du Rhône over 15 hectares since 1895. Taken on by Laurent Cortinas in 2000, Domaine Croze-Granier successfully earnt the BIO organic certification in 2012, by respect of the terroir.
The winery is also located in a remarkable place in the village of Roquemaure, with the stone building is built against a cliff called L'Escatillon. This rock gives their cellar great thermal inertia and provides a unique natural freshness during vinification and allows optimal conservation of the wine all year round.
Cotes du Rhone: Domaine Croze Granier Cuvee L'Escatillon Red Lovely garnet robe, with violet shades. A nose of blackberry fruits, with notes of citrus. A fresh attack on the palate, very fruity with notes of liquorice. |
|
Lirac: Domaine Croze Granier Red Deep ruby red robe. On the nose, aromas of dark olive and garrigue, a lot of freshness. Full fruity attack on the palate, hints of blackcurrant jam and raspberry. Full-bodied and fresh. |
|
Chateauneuf du Pape: Domaine Croze Granier Cuvee Les Anciens Pontifes Red Deep ruby red with violet reflections. A nose of fresh redberries, and on the palate; a smooth and fresh attack, orange peel, light leather, hint of fresh nuts, balanced. |
|
Gard: Domaine Croze Granier Cuvee L'Escatillon White Pale and limpid yellow robe with golden highlights. An expressive nose of exotic fruits, passionfruit and mango. A fresh attack on the palate, vibrant, smooth and well balanced. |
Villa Dondona
On the magnificent hillside terraces above Montpeyroux, Villa Dondona is owned by a British artist and a French doctor transformed into winemakers. This 21 acre vineyard is known for winning Decanter Awards in 2016, and known for its organic winegrowing methods.
In addition to the popular wines we already stock from their range, we have brought across a new addition, the 'Tour de Role' - A organic 100% Vermentino (or Rolle).
Languedoc AOC: Villa Dondona Tour de Role White Herbal notes on the nose and on the palate, with a lovely texture. Fresh fruit, and a sharp finish. With each plot vinified separately it is the natural expression at the heart of the vineyard. Metal arches frame the vines, looking like plant tunnels. The grapes grow and ripe in the shade, giving a juice with more liveliness and acidity for a wine more mineral and original. |
