Moulin A Vent
The most powerful and well-structured examples in the Beaujolais region, and known as the 'King of Beaujolais'. Strangely there is no village bearing the name Moulin A Vent, wines from this cru come from the commune of Romaneche-Thorins, encompassing 330 hectares of land in the east of the region (It is actually named after a local windmill, which was sail-less until recent renovation).
Moulin A Vent has an aptitude to age well and develop over the years, virtually turning out like a Burgundy. Aromas of strawberry and raspberry are most prominent. Domaine Dubost produce Moulin a Vent over a 3 and a half hectares in very fine granite soil.
