Pronounced ruby colour. Intense and complex nose with aromas of cherry, slightly liquorice blackcurrant syrup, smoke and ash notes brought by the ageing. A very long palate with a fine and tight tannin grain. Always a favourite!

Brother and sister, Pierre and Veronique took over from their parents in 1993 and have carefully maximised the huge potential of their estate. Their wines are superb, and constantly gain more and more recognition from discerning wine lovers and critics.
The vineyard has now more than doubled in size without diminishing the quality- quite a rare achievement. With Domaine Boudau actually based in Rivesaltes, it is of no surprise that also the famous dessert wines from this villages are also a great success.
Reserved for red wines from the finest villages of the Roussillon, whose extremely warm climate ripens the grapes to their full potential, giving the wines a rich, deep purple colour and real presence. Built chiefly on Grenache, Syrah, and Carignan, they are full-bodied and concentrated, with notes of cherry and blackberry jam on the palate. These characterful reds pair beautifully with red meats and cheeses and reward a few years' ageing. Having built an increasingly strong reputation over the past 15 years, it is certainly a region to look out for.
