| Vinification | The mechanical harvest, 50% of crop is squeezed directly, and 50% is placed in vats for maceration in order to obtain a desired colour and well-balanced wine. Settling lasts for 24 hours before fermentation between 18 and 20°. Then aging in vats on fine lees for 6 months. |

Founded in 1994 by Jean-Charles Moreau on the banks of the Loire, Domaine Moncourt today covers some fifty hectares between Anjou and Saumur, with a diversity of grape varieties and terroir. Combining respect for tradition, they embody the values and heart of a father and son working with passion!
In addition there is Vignoble de l'Ecasserie, born in 2021 from association with the Reulier family. This vineyard of about fifty hectares is part of the family tradition and heritage for three generations, also based in the heart of the best terroirs of the Layon in the commune of Bellevigne-en-Layon.
The Loire is France's longest river, running almost 400km from the Massif Central westwards to the Atlantic, and gives its name to one of the country's most diverse wine regions. Spanning some 57,000 hectares across Loire-Atlantique, Anjou-Saumur, Touraine, and the Centre, it produces the full range of styles - fresh, light whites from Sauvignon Blanc and Chenin Blanc, elegant reds and rosés from Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir, and Gamay, plus sweet and sparkling wines. Its western vineyards enjoy a maritime Atlantic climate, while the more easterly Centre is cooler and continental, and its chalky limestone soils help the wines retain their signature freshness and acidity. Home to 69 appellations, including the famous Sancerre and Pouilly-Fumé, the Loire offers something to please every palate.
A dry rosé appellation covering the Anjou, Saumur, and Touraine districts of the Loire Valley. Made chiefly from Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, often with Gamay, Pinot Noir, and other local varieties, it is distinguished from the medium-sweet Cabernet d'Anjou by being fully dry. Pale and bright in the glass, it offers fresh red-fruit aromas of strawberry and redcurrant with the crisp, lively acidity typical of the Loire. Light, refreshing, and versatile, it makes an ideal aperitif or summer wine.
