Natural Wines

Natural wines are made in the traditional way, through minimal machinery used and absence of additives during making. These do not have a specific body assessing a certain standard. These wines do not have to be certified by a specific government or body,  but the standards set by each vineyard require natural traditional methods to produce the wine.
Natural wines are wines that have no additives or chemicals used, or no heavy machinery used to make the wine. Through the process of natural wines, the low levels of sulphites are used to preserve the wine and alter the taste and smell of the wine. These wines typically do not age well, as there is minimal preserving agents added to these wines, which typically give the wines a 'drink now' status, rather than a preserving or maturing stage.
