Carignan Gris
A rare, grey-berried mutation of the more widely planted Carignan, found in small quantities in southern France, particularly the Languedoc-Roussillon. Used for white and occasionally rosé wines, it produces fresh, aromatic whites with good acidity, gentle stone-fruit character, and a subtle texture. Scarce and little-known, it is prized by a handful of growers working with old vines to craft distinctive, characterful wines.
