Cote Rotie
Cote Rotie is a French appellation located in the south of Vienne south in the Rhone Valley. with 224 hectares of vineyards, this AOC was officially recognised in 1940. The wines produced here are red wines made from the Syrah grape, which has an allowance of up to 20% Viognier. The typical fragrances from the wines in Cote Rotie include raspberries, olives, and violets. Cote Rotie is one of few appellations which allows white wine grape varieties to be blended in with their red wine.
