Cotes de Bordeaux
The Côtes de Bordeaux appellation, stretching for 40 miles along steep hills forming the eastern bank of the Garonne river, is separate from the larger Entre-Deux-Mers appellation, being given distinction due to the higher quality of it's wines.
Its output is mainly red wines, which predominately use Merlot and Cabernet Franc grapes.
