Dry Rosé

Under a robe of lychee, this ripe rose releases elegantly intense notes of melon and cassis, before moving towards Muscat scents. Good density on the palate is set by a youthful vivacity and a pleasant fruitiness.

Light orangey pink colour. Delicate aroma of small red berries combined with a hint of flint. The palate is seduced with its light, crunchy side and the scent of ripe strawberry, matched with a spicy tone or hint at the end. A very versatile rosé.

Superb notes of marmalade, dried flowers and roast almond as well as subtle notes of berries from Casters Liebart's Coteaux Champenois red wines.

From old vines of Cinsault from 30 to 65 years old, this rosé is fresh and round, perfect on its own or with a light dish.

Pierre Cros - 'It was one of you, passing by the winery last summer, who nourished the idea in me to name this new Rosé wine. It’s the first harvest of this vineyard planted with old grape varieties of the Languedoc in 2011. This is an assembly of “commoners” - Aramon, Piquepoul, Morrastel and Rivairenc - accompanied by the so-called “noble” grape varieties Cinsault and Grenache. From this blend, this assembly, this gathering, this mix... of all these varieties, a wine with an evocative name was born...'

On the sound advice of 'Uncle Jo', who's bowing out after 40 harvests, we preserved a plot of Aramon, an ancient grape. Round, colourful, lively, this Rosé is an homage to this forgotten grape and... Uncle Jo!
