Haut-Medoc

Haut-Médoc is an appellation located on the left Bank of the Gironde estuary in Bordeaux. Covering 4680 hectares, this appellation mainly grows Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot, with approximately 390 vineyards.

Haut-Medoc was recognised as an official AOC in 1936. The wines from this area are known to be complex and powerful with blackberry and redcurrant notes.
