The nose is direct with a very nice mineral taste. With aeration, nougat, honey and dry fruits are coming through. The mouth is long with a very pleasant fresh orange aroma. Complex structure and long finish, with notes of mirabelle and jasmine. A generous Champagne without added sugar.

Composed of 40% Fine Bois, 40% Petite Champagne and 20% Grande Champagne. This cognac spends 8 months in new oak barrels to extract soft and light aromas, then in red barrels. It reveals fruity (apricot, lychee and orange zest), floral (acacia and jasmine) notes, slightly spicy with ginger and softened by vanilla.

It was in 1872 that Joseph Dartigalongue founded Armagnac La Croix de Salles, named after the property he acquired in Salles d'Armagnac, in the heart of Bas-Armagnac. Since then, every year, the eau-de-vie that comes out of the still is housed in oak barrels to produce, after a long aging in their century-old cellars, Armagnacs of great finesse. Armagnac is mostly made with a grape called Ugni Blanc, and is distilled only once and aged in a different wood, therefore more rustic and fuller than Cognac. This particular vintage is from 1990.

A great Vintage, showing beautiful concentration, vigour and complexity, but with plenty of finesse and remarkable freshness. The 2015 gives us a silky wine, with great structure and incredible balance thanks to its taut acidity and lower level of sweetness, which results in a fresher wine.
