Bourgogne Hautes Cotes de Beaune
A regional Burgundy appellation covering the higher-altitude hills to the west and above the famous Côte de Beaune. Its cooler, more elevated vineyards produce both red wine from Pinot Noir and white from Chardonnay, grown on limestone and clay soils. The reds are typically light, fresh, and fruit-forward, showing bright red-fruit character, while the whites are crisp and mineral with citrus and orchard-fruit notes.
