Mercurey
Created in 1936, the appellation Mercurey used to give its name to the region now known as the Cote Chalonnaise, in Burgundy. It produces white wine from Chardonnay, but mostly red wine with Pinot Noir. It benefits from a continental climate, with a typically long and warm summer and dry autumn.
