Tasting notes

Beautiful carmine red colour. The nose suggests that we are biting into fresh grapes, the first sip is sweet, we hesitate between vanilla and blackcurrant as there is so much presence on the palate. A fleshy, delicious wine, made of lace with a good dose of extract...

Beaujolais

Region – Beaujolais

Offering a deep ruby red, Beaujolais is more than just a wine; it's an agricultural region that produces as many as 2.3 billion bottles of red wine per year. This French wine is renowned for its fruity taste and robust structure and has been popular since the 19th century. Beaujolais wines are also rich in pigments of carotenoids which give the wines their characteristic dark purple hue. The wine is typically made from the Gamay grape which is one of the darkest of red grapes.

Appellation – Chiroubles

One of the ten Beaujolais Crus, set on the high-altitude granite slopes in the north of the region, made exclusively from Gamay. The highest of the Crus, its cooler elevation gives wines of great delicacy and freshness, typically the lightest and most floral of the ten. Expect vivid aromas of violet, peony, and fresh red fruit such as cherry and raspberry, with a silky, supple palate.

Domaine des Roches du Py

In Beaujolais, located in the heart of the crus on the famous Côte du Py, in Morgon. Winemaker Gwenaël Jambon devotes all their positive energy to cultivating and crafting their wines, highlighting the purity of the terroir.

Coming from a 4th generation of winemakers, they have passionately and proudly managed the estate since 2001. The vineyards cover the Beaujolais crus as well as the Beaujolais Village.
