The large percentage of Malbec gives this wine all the characteristics of a classic Cahors. Located in the heart of the appellation, Château Leret Monpezat wines have a deep, rich colour of impressive density. Redolent of blackcurrant in its youth, it has plenty of body and good length, with the powerful tannins softened by well integrated oak from ageing in barrels.

It has a steady red colour. The nose has a nice intensity, dominated by red berry aromas and mixed spices. The wine is fruity on the palate, ending with fine and chic tannins, which confers it the ability to age during several years.

'Le Gouleyant' (easy to drink). Dark cherry red colour, with a nose typical of the Malbec variety. Notes of ripe black and red fruits (cherry, blackberry, raspberry). The mouth is also very fruity, and finishes on soft and elegant tannins.

Made with over 50 years old Grenache vines and with some Syrah, Mourvedre and a little Carignan. Lengthy taste of fruits and spice, rounded and structured with soft tannins. Magnificent taste, still a couple of years to reach its best. Drink it now but decant it first.

Excellent length with freshness. Round and soft. This wine is made in small quantity with a yearly production of only 1,663 bottles.

Biodynamically grown Roussanne, Grenache Blanc, Marsanne, and Viognier offer a wide range of floral and peach aromas. Vinification and aging in oak barrels provide a long and subtle finish.

Made with a majority of Merlot - structured, and will get your attention through its earthy but appealing taste.

This medium to long aging wine (7 to 10 years) is characterized by its animal bouquet linked to Merlot, as well as by its finesse and elegance linked to the sandy soil. In short, a wine that deserves a little patience!

Mineral, iodized and chalky nose with floral and fruity notes. After aeration, it evokes more complex aromas of white fruit and pear, smoky limestone, cereals and vanilla. Cherry, raspberry and pineapple complete this extremely rich olfactory bouquet. The palate is warm and generous. It is nonetheless frank, rich and luscious, with a beautiful liveliness. The whole is powerful and saline, the finish is fresh.

This Premier Cru benefits from all the advantages that its exceptional terroir confers on it. The nose evokes smells reminiscent of iodized spray, fishing, with nuances of aniseed herbs. With aeration, it develops towards more richness, embodied by notes of brioche, apple, fresh butter, passion fruit. This wine develops a luscious and crunchy fruity substance, supported by a well-integrated lemony acidity. On the mid-palate, predominantly clay minerality, fruity volume and delicacy. A remarkably elegant wine with a lingering finish.
