Region – Bordeaux

Situated in the beautiful South-West of France, Bordeaux is one of the country's largest wine-growing areas, covering over 125,000 hectares. With the Atlantic to the west, its coastal temperatures are moderated by the Gulf Stream, making it an ideal place for vines to thrive. The region produces a staggering 900 million bottles a year, ranging from large quantities of common Vin de Pays to some of the most prestigious and expensive wines in the world.

Appellation – Lussac-Saint-Emilion

One of the satellite appellations of Saint-Émilion, located just to the north-east on the Right Bank of Bordeaux. Sharing much of its famous neighbour's character, it is dedicated to red wine built chiefly on Merlot, with Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon in support, grown on clay, limestone, and gravel soils. The wines are typically supple, rounded, and fruit-forward, showing ripe red and dark fruit with soft tannins and an approachable style, while the best examples gain structure and depth with age.
