Cote de Nuits
The North of the Cote d'Or produces a majority of red wines. A Pinot Noir heaven, it incorporates most of the Burgundy Grand-Crus. White wines are less frequent but of great quality, and are made from Chardonnay. It is named after the village of Nuits-St-Georges, and gives wines with floral aromas and notes of blackcurrant, cherry and quince.
