Most of the Labegorce estate was sold in August 1795 to the Benoist couple, whose descendants, engineer Gustave Zede and his brother vice-admiral Emile Zede, added their illustrious name to that of the cru.
In 2005, Mr Hubert Perrodo acquired Chateau Labegorce Zede, bringing the two vineyards together and restoring the historic viticultural integrity.
