Tasting Notes

Very beautiful and complex, this wine speaks of garrigue and candied fruits, the nose evoking blueberry tart. The very well-balanced palate expresses itself with spice, rosemary and cistus with a touch of mocha and tonka bean.

This aromatic depth is evident on the palate with a beautiful panache, framed by present tannins and tonic acidity, all well integrated. The finish leaves a tasty and velvety impression.

We thought we could not bring more wines from this part of the Languedoc until we found this - the Petit Verdot. The grape, although originating from the South West, was also used in Bordeaux to bring some spice to the wines.

Since it tended to mature too late it has now been discarded by many Chateaux, but here in this warmer part of France there is no problem!
