    Languedoc-Roussillon Wine

Languedoc-Roussillon is not a wine appellation in itself despite the term being used by many wine professionals and wine aficionados. Historically, wine bottles noted the specific wine appellations of Languedoc AOC and its many sub regions, along with Côtes du Roussillon and its respective sub regions.

Since January 2016, both Languedoc-Roussillon and the Midi-Pyrénées regions have been grouped together for administrative reasons, becoming a part of the newest region, Occitanie, and include the larger IGP appellations of Pays d’Oc, Côtes Catalanes and the brand ‘Sud de France’.

"I remember you, Grandma, the simple dishes that you cooked for us: your Provençal tomatoes, or stuffed ones... your eggplant gratin... I also remember the way you revisited the leftovers from the day before. .. A delight Grandma! It's surely the dose of love that you added to it that made all the difference... I'm trying today to do the same thing as you with 'commoner' grape varieties without fuss, that we would be proud of having on your table."

'Between the vineyard and the sea, between my mother and my father, between Syrah and Mourvèdre, not our grapes of anger but the grapes of love'. The sweetness and sensuality of Syrah and the precise mineral acidity of Mourvèdre gives this wine a beautiful aromatic complexity. The quality of the fine and mature tannins creates a delicate and exuberant bouquet at the same time.

Very beautiful and complex, this wine speaks of garrigue and candied fruits, the nose evoking blueberry tart. The very well-balanced palate expresses itself with spice, rosemary and cistus with a touch of mocha and tonka bean. This aromatic depth is evident on the palate with a beautiful panache, framed by present tannins and tonic acidity, all well integrated. The finish leaves a tasty and velvety impression.
