Region – Bordeaux

Situated in the beautiful South-West of France, Bordeaux is one of the country's largest wine-growing areas, covering over 125,000 hectares. With the Atlantic to the west, its coastal temperatures are moderated by the Gulf Stream, making it an ideal place for vines to thrive. The region produces a staggering 900 million bottles a year, ranging from large quantities of common Vin de Pays to some of the most prestigious and expensive wines in the world.

Appellation – Blaye Cotes de Bordeaux

Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux sits on the right bank of the Gironde estuary, where vineyards have been planted since Roman times. For generations, Blaye lived in the shadow of Bordeaux's more illustrious communes, such as Pauillac and Margaux across the water, and neighbouring Pomerol and Saint-Émilion. This lack of widespread recognition led to a reform of the region's appellations in 2009, when Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux was created to showcase its spectacular red and white wines. Today, the passionate growers who call Blaye home are working hard to distinguish themselves through quality.

Vignobles Dubois

Vignobles Dubois

In the northern part of the Blaye Cotes de Bordeaux, the ninth generation of the Dubois family runs this collection of estates. The vineyard produces a consistently excellent selection of wines, and has built up a great reputation over the years, and have been winegrowing sustainably since 1996. This one hundred hectare vineyard mainly consists of the Merlot, Cabernet, Sauvignon and Muscadelle grape varieties.

They quote: 'Nine generations later, we are still present, and very proud to continue this marvellous family history with the same enthusiasm and motivation which strongly links us to our land, vines and wine.'
