Burgundy is a term used for a range of wine exclusively produced from small parcels of land in the regions around the area of the same name, which includes, mainly, the Cote d'Or.
The name "Burgundy" applies to both red and white wines made from Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Gamay and Pinot Meunier grapes.
